You don't have to be a Kardashian to monetize your content and social presence, but you do have to be well versed in the FTC requirements regarding disclosure.
As blogging and social media become increasing impactful mediums for news and entertainment, bloggers and social media personalities are working more frequently with brands and sponsors. Those working relationships include various means of compensation and span a growing number of digital platforms, but they all have one thing in common; the nature of the relationship must be disclosed.
Bloggers of all levels are invited to discuss monetization and the impact of (non)disclosure on the integrity of the blogging community.
