Time-consuming chores like cooking, cleaning and doing laundry have traditionally fallen to consumers themselves. As technology evolves, consumers are now placing an enormous value on the ability to get their free time back. Enter the on-demand economy. These tedious tasks can now be accomplished quickly and affordably through a few swipes of an app, without any cash changing hands. The enormous popularity of on demand services has forever changed consumer habits and expectations, while spawning countless “Uber for X” startups eager to replicate the success.
But now what?
