How the Internet Proposed to Me
On February 29, 2012, my boyfriend ask me to marry him. But it wasn't just him...it was the entire internet. This operation became known around the world as #SaYesKatie. My (now) fiance did ultimately get down on one knee in real life, but before he did, I was showered with hundreds and hundreds of photos of him in bizarre, hilarious, and scary situations. In the end, hundreds of my friends, and strangers, got to participate in this special moment.
I'd like to share my story with you, as well as give my future husband and our friends at Buzzfeed a chance to give you the inside scoop on how #SayYesKatie all went down.
