Privacy 201: From Compliance to Trust

Concerns about student data privacy are increasing in parallel with the growth of education technology. The panel will explore the tension between privacy and personalization and review the existing policy landscape. This will go beyond FERPA and COPPA to look at the implications of recently passed laws. Panelists will examine how schools and technology organizations can go beyond mere compliance with laws to actively building trust in education technology with parents, students, and teachers.
