Smith, CEO of AmeriCorps, the only federal agency focused on national service and volunteerism, will lead a discussion with key national partners that have made a lasting impact on education over the last 30 years to highlight the vast impact and unlimited potential of national service. Alongside over 1.25 million AmeriCorps members and millions of AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers, these organizations show how to address today’s most pressing educational challenges – including diversifying the educator workforce and addressing students’ academic and social and emotional needs.
