How to Build Trust & Sustainable Family-School Engagement
Description:
In western Pennsylvania, 31 teams co-led by parents and school staff members are having deep conversations about the purpose of school. Through the “Parents as Allies” initiative, they are building trust, experimenting with innovative family-school engagement strategies and creating powerful support systems for students by bringing parents directly into the conversation with schools. In this panel moderated by Kidsburgh, hear from a parent, principal and superintendent about how they are creating sustainable family-school engagement practices and overcoming barriers to build authentic trust.
