SXSW 2024
Who’s in the Room: The Challenge of Being Leader as a POC
Description:
A picture is worth a thousand words. A viral one is worth a discussion. The realities people of color (POC) face in the workplace is a picture worth examining.
Time to have a robust, courageous discussion of the salient issues faced being the only person of color in the room. Topics of discussion will include impostor syndrome, affirmative action reversal, & unconscious biases. This discussion will explore these challenges and hurdles of the elephants in the room & examine strategies to not only survive, but to thrive in the midst of them.
