SXSW EDU 2024
Movements: Musicians & Animators in Sync
Description:
We developed a unique interdisciplinary collaboration by bringing students from music and experimental animation together to create original work and performance. The project aimed to help animators and musicians communicate, further developing the concept of timing and movement in both disciplines. The musicians created compositions with the animators, who were responsible for translating them visually. This talk demonstrates that this experience renewed the student’s interest and offered opportunities for them to face challenges and perform. We hope to inspire other artists to collaborate.
