SXSW EDU 2023
Destigmatizing Mental Health in Schools via Media
Description:
School environments can trigger mental health concerns in young people. Feeling alone or isolated at school can exacerbate these challenges. Documentaries and student journalism can shed light on ways in which mental health concerns manifest in youth. Through storytelling, media can demonstrate the importance of a strong support system and provide tools for students and the educators who care for them. This diverse panel will share how media can serve as a learning tool for youth mental health.
