Student Voices: Solving the College Access Gap

Description:

Talent is evenly distributed in the US, but opportunity is not: selective colleges enroll more students from the richest 1% of Americans than the bottom 60%. But new partnerships between high schools and colleges like Yale and Howard are tackling this opportunity gap—and empowering students from low-income backgrounds to pursue their aspirations. In this panel, the New York Times’ Erica Green will speak with students about how taking college-level courses in high school set them up for success.
