SXSW 2022
Food is the New Internet
Description:
Just like the internet was made useful by people, our food system too will be made useful by people through everyday ordinary action. Disruptive technology and entrepreneurship will define the food system of the next 20 years, not big corporations. The covid-19 pandemic shed light on the resiliency of younger businesses and brands while exposing gaps in the food system. We've made headlines and made waves, but can we move the needle? Our panel brings together a sustainable agriculture visionary, a design creative, an entrepreneur and professional agriculture investor, and a farming entrepreneur to talk about the enormous opportunity for entrepreneurs and investors within our food system and how the next 20 years of food could be as “revolutionary” as the invention of the internet.
