Description:
This panel will be an inter-generational conversation between Farhana Yamin, international environmental lawyer, climate change policy expert, and strategist for global movements like Extinction Rebellion, and Maria Alejandra Escalante, a queer, feminist researcher from Colombia and the climate and environmental justice advocacy officer for FRIDA|The Young Feminist Fund.
They will explore how activists are building the global climate justice movement and how to bring about equitable, transformational change within the systems that perpetuate climate crises – from energy to manufacturing to policy.
