SXSW 2022
The State of Media Representation
Description:
This panel presents a decade of data on representations of race, gender, LGBTQ+, disability, age, and body size in film, television, advertising, video games, and the music industry. The purpose of this panel is to benchmark representation for these different groups and measure progress over time. After a brief presentation of the data, industry and advocacy experts will discuss the implications of the findings-- where we see progress; where work remains to be done.
