SXSW EDU 2022

Accessible, Tech-Powered Family Engagement

Description:

When schools shifted to remote family engagement during the pandemic, they learned that many parents and caregivers show up when issues of childcare and transportation aren’t in the way of their involvement. Still, the digital divide and lack of digital skills were - and still are - a barrier for many families. In this talk, I'll present a new post-remote approach to family engagement that leverages accessible technologies and includes learning opportunities for all parents and caregivers.
