SXSW 2021
The Recording Academy’s Behind the Record Movement
Description:
Long are the days we purchased records and gave credit to the talent behind the record to bring their tracks to life. The music industry’s number one advocate The Recording Academy believes everyone that makes music deserves credit. For the second year in a row, TBWA\Chiat\Day LA and the Recording Academy created a movement for the music industry to encourage artists all over the globe to give credit and celebrate the diverse group of creators who make up the world’s most favorite songs. One of the industry’s top producers Jeff Balding, Lady A’s Dave Haywood, TBWA\Chiat\Day LA’s Group Creative Director Jason Karley and The Recording Academy’s Lisa Farris take us Behind the Record into the recording process and how social media and virtual collabs during the pandemic helped #GiveCredit.
