SXSW 2021

Disability & Tech: Barriers and Opportunities

Description:

We all know that when companies focus on inclusivity the results are impressive. Organizations that embrace best practices for employing and supporting individuals with diverse abilities in their workforce have achieved 28% higher revenue, doubled their net income, and earned 30% higher profit margins than their peers. But people of diverse abilities remain a largely untapped and unseen talent pool of around 10.7 million people. How can we change that? This panel will discuss the ways in which disabled folks have been left behind and what technology and technology companies can do to spark change.
