SXSW 2021
Designed to Connect: Making the Virtual Personal
Description:
Design Thinking is a highly personal, interactive discipline that was challenged in tremendous ways in the new digital world. The global pandemic fundamentally changed the way we approached collaboration. In embracing the pivot and questioning entrenched assumptions, the Navy has used the disconnection to find new connections between disciplines. By colliding the worlds of art, design, technology, and science to tackle future national security challenges, Virtual Design Thinking has unlocked imagination in powerful and necessary ways to propel traditional technology development communities into the future.
