Impact Global VOD: Films Free for Good
There is no point in filmmakers making change-making films if there is no guaranteed impactful distribution. When critical films are not seen, no impact is made -- nothing changes. Most people do not want to pay transaction costs to see most indies, especially documentaries. The big global video on demand streaming platforms are not licensing many independent films anymore. But films can reach audiences and impact the planet via global VOD exhibition with some financial support from charitable and safe corporate funds. This panel will explain which VOD platforms and what financial sources are options for filmmakers to achieve more robust distribution and impact and not stay on the proverbial shelf or be left undiscovered on corporate platforms catering to studio and commercial content.
