Disrupting Podcasting: Modern Audio Fiction
Description:
Podcasting has exploded in the past few years. From talk shows to true crime, indie creators are constantly coming out with new material. As podcasting matures, the audio fiction realm is poised to disrupt the format's landscape. In the future, audio fiction creators will change the face of podcasting by bringing serialized independent works of fiction to audio, much like streaming services did for TV.
This session will include an excerpt from "The Bayou Beast," the latest show from the creators of the hit sci-fi podcast "Husk," as well as a discussion of where podcasting and audio fiction are headed. This must-see talk will shed light on the next wave of this burgeoning format.
