Engaging Consumers: from Urgent to Continuous Care
Health care is stuck in the past. Our system today is tailored to the needs of providers, not consumers. It’s time to flip this on its head and connect healthcare to the consumer in ways we have never done before. To achieve this, the health care community must come together to provide consumers with more services in their communities – in the home, stores and the palm of the hand – that empower them to take a more active role in their health care. And while technology will be a key enabler of this evolution, to have real impact, we must bridge the physical and digital worlds, creating connections across the entire care continuum – from providers to pharmacists and everyone in between – to improve health outcomes.
