SXSW 2020

5G and its Role with Technology in the Enterprise

Description:

As 5G is introduced to the horizon, more companies have begun implementing it into their products and services. Currently, trends of 5G are emerging into different kinds of technology, like AR/MR glasses, and opening up partnership opportunities with major cell carriers – AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and more. Partnering with these carriers allows for the AR/MR field to make advancements that weren’t feasible before. The high bandwidth and low latency of 5G allows AR/MR glasses to offload the majority of their workload to the edge of the network. In this session, the audience will learn about the shift 5G technology empowers and how it’ll arm workers with an MR solution to streamline communication to save money and give enterprise workers the resources they need to maximize productivity.
