SXSW 2019

Future of Benefits for the Independent Workforce

Description:

Solo business owners are the fastest growing segment of the US workforce. The independent business owners currently have little to no options to the benefits offered to employees in the corporate space. Anonymity, freedom and passion for their talent is what drives these individuals; lack of benefit resources is what keeps them stagnant and scared. Laws have changed, opening up new options for a nationwide program to be created to serve this segment of business owners. Having a strong freelance talent pool is vital to startups, small and micro business as well as providing a resource for larger corporations to add specific expertise as needed.
