Pandora's Headset: The Ethics of VR in Education

Does virtual reality have a dark side? In this session we'll debate the ethical considerations we must address if we are to invite this new technology into our schools. How should we address safety issues, decreased empathy, virtual bullying, financial barriers, privilege, privacy, and data collection? What can we learn from mistakes made while implementing prior technologies? Expect a lively conversation that will cover wide-ranging perspectives on these fascinating and difficult issues.
