The STEM in Selfies

Who doesn’t love a good selfie?! Bring your camera phone & explore how to take creative selfies by applying STEM knowledge. Participants will build upon a prior student knowledge in photography to understand properties of light waves & their interactions with matter. Explore the effects of using different types of light sources to examine the visible color spectrum with diffraction grating & experiment with common items such as grass and fabrics that can be used as creative lens filters.
