Building Free and Open Education Communities

Free and open education resources encourage critical interaction, innovation and collaboration on the part of the educator and learner by nature. Adopting and sustaining a free and open education system requires high level support and grassroot efforts. As educators, organizers and developers within the education ecosystem, we will share our experiences with free software, hardware and textbooks in informal and formal education networks. These resources change the dynamic between learners, educators and communities at large while bringing opportunities for cost savings.
