STEM & Makerspaces On A Budget
So you want to start a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math) or Makerspace program, but are concerned about costs and space. In this session, you will learn how to utilize inexpensive and free items to stock your lab or Makerspace and provide engaging educational activities for your students. From dollar stores to donations to everyday recyclables, you will find a variety of ways to get hands on without breaking the budget. We will also look at some of the challenges of space for these programs and look at several creative ways to implement STEM and Makerspaces without a dedicated room or lab. You will leave with a toolkit of resources, ideas and lessons to get started with.
