Know Your Customers: Using Low Power Sensors
I’ve been working on product design for big corporations, for small companies and for my own startups. Each time I come to a point where I need to know more about how the users behave. Why are they not using a new feature? Or worse, why are they not using my product?Quantitative analytics are increasingly driving design, products and even companies. Analytics often tell a different story on how users behave compared to traditional qualitative techniques. Analytics is literally shaping how the online world works. How can we learn more about user behavior through quantitative measures?
In this session I will present my journey in collecting data from users using Bluetooth Smart and low power sensors and couple this with real-time analytics systems. I will walk through how to build a sensor system for collecting personal analytics, what type of data are important, and how to derive meaning from sensor data.
