Description:
Like the Hatfields versus the McCoys, designers have been waging an epic battle of their favorite tool of choice - the war between Photoshop and Fireworks, two of the greatest pixel-pushing programs that have forever changed how we perceive and create electronic design.

This could be a great session if panelists were to actually show how they'd accomplish specific tasks using either Photoshop or Fireworks, as well as what tools they use and how they use them.

Showing first-hand the process we use in each is one of the priority goals of the panel.

I am very interested in learning why Fireworks is gaining in (seemingly) gaining in popularity. Despite playing with it, I have not "seen the light".

Honestly speaking I wouldn't have thought that Photoshop and fireworks could ever be comparable. I use to think fireworks as very inferior to photoshop but I think I'll have too look more into it especially in the aspect of vector files. I have fireworks on my computer but never make use of it.

This would be a GREAT panel. I've been a part of some pretty heated discussions on which is the best/right tool for web design. It's a topic people can really get going on. Oh and by the way... the best tool is PHOTOSHOP :-)

FIREWOK! i have used firework for web graphics from version 5 i guess. Its stunning tool for web design. before moved to web design i was working in print media and done lot of work with PS.PS is ONE AND ONLY tool for print media and it has all you need for making amazing graphics. FW is a better tool for making prototypes, UIs withing short period of time and its simple and you can do what you need to effortlessly. But I'm still using PS when i design(Art work) for a printing. For a web and interface design FIREWORK!

If Fireworks could keep from crashing long enough to discuss it, this would be a great panel. I personally HATE Fireworks but I am FORCED to use it by Firework-nazis. Photoshop rulz!
Do it today!
