Actionable nonprofit case studies in a poetry slam format? Count me in! And given Beth is a GREAT public speaker, I am SURE this panel will make!
on 8/8/08
Beth rules. Fun and smart are her two middle names.
on 8/8/08
Looks like a great, informative session: storytelling + data + institutional change + nptech = awesome!
on 8/8/08
Will the Q&A be a poem or story format? This looks like a great panel!
on 8/8/08
Hey thanks. I'm going to either connect poetry forms to metrics or just take lines from famous poems to illustrates some ROI concepts.

Some possible panelists will be Holly Ross, Wendy Harman, Jonathon Coleman, Carie Lewis, Danielle Brigidia, and David Neff --

I hope someone throws in some spoken word or rap (a la the SEO Rapper).

I can count at several social media usage lesson takeaways I've garnered from my thus far minimalist involvement with Beth's wearemedia.org project. I can only imagine that 5 minute slams will likely take those takeaways to the exponential level.

Great idea!

Sounds fun!

looking forward to this one!

Count me in Beth!

In the traditional poetry slam format, there are judges .. there's a rock star panel with measurement gurus .. if our panel goes through - could we get them to be judges?

Okay, Beth is awesome. She has a lot more feedback than our crazy measurement panel. I think that I am in as a judge, this is too fun.

I'm sure this panel will be fun and informative - but please, can we leave the word poetry it's place? Maybe nursery rhymes?

This sounds SO fun -- but the reasons it gets major ups from me are (a) Beth rules, (b) it's the most important topic of all for social-web evangelists within nonprofits (or any other kind of organization), (c) it reminds me of Kathy Sierra's writings about how useful it is to apply pressure and constraints, and push people to get their ideas/thoughts/experience/creativity out *fast*.

I know I'm not going to fall asleep in this one! Form and function - way cool. Seriously, this is the kind of info and conversation I'm looking for.

I love the idea of Kami and company judging! The pressure is making me more lyrical already.

I love the idea of Kami and company judging! The pressure is making me more lyrical already.
I have a quick story to share on a Social Media strategy that was successfully implemented with little investment of $ but maximum returns. Each member of the team created 2 minutes video clips and uploaded on YouTube. Once they started getting page view, those videos were posted on a website which were further made popular by linking them on Myspace, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter - all free but huge viral traffic!
Do it today!
