Title:

What's Wrong with Today's Major Social Networks?

Presenter:
Susan Wu , Charles River Ventures
Description:
Social networks are only going to grow in popularity, breadth, and intensity of usage. Yet hundreds of millions of people are still stuck in environments like MySpace. Facebook is better, but still, there's quite a lot of room for improvement. What can we do to liberate these people? What does the next generation social network look like? Our panelists will evaluate and talk about the design challenges of creating the next iteration of networked social applications.

Susan Maybe they will become smaller (sliced by age groups or centered on people's interests). One area that I feel is lacking is for the around and just over 50 (like myself). This is one of the reasons I offered my panel idea 'Just over 50 and not dead yet'. I look forward to meet you and continue the discussion Serge 'The French Guy from New Jersey' Blog : 'Serge the Concierge'

Bonjour Susan interesting topic and I will expect to heard about the multi-devices aspect of the new generation of social networks and the inter-interoperability...If I have a Flickr album, Facebbok friends and a Twitter feed i expect to offer and mix all or actually with RSS feed and Mobile we can start to do that.(its what we do in fact in Mobitms)

Right, what makes the effort of social network involvement worthwhile. And how does a social network purveyor overcome 'flavor of the moment' syndrome?
