Streaming Ourselves to Death: Private Label Internet Radio

Description:
While advertisers continue to pour money in to the dying medium of traditional terrestrial radio, some are turning the traditional advertising model upside down. Streaming internet radio has been sucessfully "private labeled" by many companies as they produce brand favorable content audio online. You can too.

Hey y'all... I'd really appreciate any votes for this panel. Also, please read our internet radio blog which is linked through my name. www.InternetBroadcastingGroup.com. Even if I don't speak, I am really looking forward to attending SXSW this year and meeting out-of-the-box thinkers in New Media...

This topic is beginning to receive considerable interest from social networking groups to large newspaper comapanies to car dealerships. I believe this would be a very interesting panel to have at SXSW.

Internet Radio is the future of Media. I sat in on the panels last year, SXSW 08, and listened to a panel of speakers from Pandora, Soma FM, etc. I would be very interested in an interactive panel on the private label internet radio.

Hey Mark, I'm interested in discussing this more, and would be interested in being on you panel. We've seen some interest in what you're describing- brands being interested in getting a customized, private-labelled version of one or more of our stations. I also get a lot of questions from brands asking me what's involved in creating their own online radio/music offerings, so I think there would be a lot of interest in this panel.

There's no doubt there needs to be a panel discussion. We at kmacsports.com have secured 5 high school contracts for football and baseball, and have 2 more teams talking to us about broadcasting basketball and one more about broadcasting baseball. And, we've got the Jackie Sherrill Show coming to K-MAC Sports, exclusively online. Let me know what we at K-MAC Sports can do to help further this initiative!

Thanks Chuck. I think high school games (and some college games) are a great example of ingenuous use of internet radio...

Thanks Chuck for the awesome coverage of CP and GT baseball last spring in the playoffs. Hopefully RR will be coming aboard K-MAC soon as well!

I would love to hear more on this subject, having owned a now dead .com that was based on streaming media, I want to know how it's changed in the last few year. Iam looking forward to it. -Mark

GREAT TOPIC!!! Internet radio is a tool I would like to use. AdBirds' strategy is multifocal as we open Labor Day in beta. After initial editing, we wil use traditional PR accompanied by local radio, YouTube videos and viral advertising.

Thanks for the support guys. I really do hope that this panel gets selected for SXSW-- Especially with all the negative press going around "the death" of Internet Radio-- Pandora was a bad business model and really doesn't foreshadow the death of anything :)
Do it today!
