| Description | This presentation argues how Social Capital – an individual’s or company’s collective digital presence (including their social graphs, level of influence and use of digital social networks) – will have an increasing impact across everything from the ways people search and discover new information, to how they consider your products and, ultimately, to how human beings will cope with the ever-increasing onslaught of digitally delivered messages and the technological changes that enable them. This future-looking presentation is designed to expand the audience’s thinking regarding the relevance and importance of social media marketing and to stimulate marketers to consider the massive implications of this theorized shift and how to take advantage of its potential. We’ll give an overview of the forces fomenting this change, from both a consumer and from an industry perspective. We’ll then highlight specific examples of how Google and Facebook are evolving their products to better serve their customers as they capitalize on this “tectonic” power shift in online (digital) marketing. The presentation will conclude with a Q&A so attendees can offer their own insights and dive deeper into the concepts underpinning the impact of Social Capital. |
