Building the Digital Restaurant

Event Interactive 2011
Format Solo
Organizer Paul Barron Chalak Restaurant Group
Description As the Chief Digital Brand Officer of various restaurant groups I have unique insights on how restaurants can take their brand to the next level on the social web. More importantly is the way they can change the way that we interact with guests and even suppliers. We are hosting a major music program at SXSW and will incorporate that as our business case for the presentation. Best take-away is that the digital restaurant is in a position to catch the next major web era after the social media era falls off in 2012. Poised with more than a million locations, 13.5 million employees and serving more than one billion people every day, the restaurant industry represents the next shift. This shift as I like to call it, is the era of the "Engaged Content Web." This era is one where content will once again reign supreme but in a new interactive and engaged processes that will blow past our current ideas of sharing on the open web as it is today.
