The design, tone, and feel of your blog can set the foundation for your business identity - both online and offline. Yes - your blog really is that important!

My goal for this panel is to teach concept of "Giving Good Blog" - listening to your audience to create a better blog.

"Dream Panelists" would include Gwen Bell (@gwenbell) and Maggie McDonald (@MagsMac).

I think this is a great panel idea and I would LOVE to participate :)

A lot of people misunderstand what it means to be an effective blogger so this panel would be super helpful.

As a SB owner, this is one area that I struggle with. I'm still trying to find my voice and need to improve the look of my blog. I think this would be so valuable to so many!

This is a great discussion that I feel so many people can learn from.

Thumbs up. Would love to see this panel make!

I've just started to blog. Chrissy has had good insight in other areas of business. I'm certain this panel would prove helpful.

I get asked a lot of questions about blogging. As common as it is for people to have blogs, many people do not understand how to use them for business, how to attract readers, how to make their blog interesting, etc.

If a business isn't "giving good blog," they are losing out on customers and sales, not to mention wasting time and energy.

This panel will teach them how to blog effectively, or as I like to put it "give good blog!"

I would be there. I think there should be some focus on "knowing your audience" and how to write for them, sort of like the hedgehog concept.

David - you are exactly right. There SHOULD be, and that is what I meant in point 8 above. You have to know what your readers want. Many people skip defining a target market, or try to appeal to too large of a market.

We will definitely talk about this step, as it is the foundation of everything! From developing content, establishing a brand, and more.

Thanks Crissy! If someone plans on monetizing a blog (something you already planned on talking about), for example, their purpose, mission, and goal should all be talked about before the first blog post is written.

Am I starting a knitting blog? I'm not going to write my first three posts about why I'm drafting Andre Johnson in the first round of my fantasy football draft ;) I'll miss and possibly alienate my audience altogether!

These gals are Blogging forces to be reckoned with - I can't wait to see what they've got up their sleeves. Ever guy and gal should know how to give better blog. Or write better blog. Or Blog better blog? Regardless, this is great stuff!! :)

Two possibly opposing forces here; how to "Give Good Blog" and "How to Monetize". They shouldn't be opposing, yet frequently are. I look forward to the panelists take on how to profitably strike the balance.

@ David - "Am I starting a knitting blog? I'm not going to write my first three posts about why I'm drafting Andre Johnson in the first round of my fantasy football draft ;) I'll miss and possibly alienate my audience altogether!" - you are right on the money! You are reading my mind!

@ Katie - Thank you! I'm glad you are into the topic!

@ Ed - You are right - it's not often that people take on both subjects. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people out there who skip over monetization completely, perhaps because as a society we've been told it's not polite to talk about money. I say "boo to that!" Let's talk about blogging, and let's talk about how to make money doing it!

Have a copy of this and it's great. Love the title which caught my attention straight away. Humour wins my vote, but also the great content that Crissy delivers with her products. Good luck, Crissy.
