Your vote:

Description:
We can’t anticipate what the hottest topics and trends will be during SXSW 2010… but we do know that a few “big ideas” will dominate. On Sunday, let’s give expert panelists and audience members a chance to subject 2010’s most popular buzzwords and trends to a final reality-check.
Questions
Answered:
  1. What were the most popular concepts during SXSW 2009?
  2. How are those popular concepts from SXSW 2009 faring a year later, and why?
  3. What are the most pervasive concepts/buzzwords/hot ideas from SXSW 2010?
  4. How do we separate the hype from a more grounded, critical assessment?
  5. Are these trends likely to resonate out in the world, or just among their creators?
  6. What do the subtle trends behind these current practices and buzzwords signify?
  7. What can we learn from the gap between what we predicted and what happened?
  8. What does that suggest about the fate of this year’s hot trends and topics?
  9. What should we be focusing our attention on, if we read past the hype?
  10. Anything and everything the audience wants to address!

What a great idea Ivan. Being able to look back at what succeeded, why and what we were thinking is going to make for a great discussion.

I like this. SXSW can seem to have no memory at times, no ability to build anything. Suggest you build some sort of bullsh*t detector, but if it's Tweet-powered I may have to stage an intervention

For those still weighing the options, potential participants on the panel include Campfire partner Michael Monello, SXSW regular Henry Jenkins, Universal McCann's Faris Yakob, BBDO's Chad Stoller, and others... and we're planning to open up the final panel line-up for nominations and voting by the entire world ahead of time, to make sure there's a great range of perspectives

Oh, and Alan Wolk, of the ever-brilliant blog, The Toadstool!

Nice lineup of Social Media non-hypesters. People should vote for this on if only to catch Henry -- and the others are pretty damn good too!
