Judo Moves for Defending Your Reputation Online

Description:
Reputation is far more fragile on the Internet, both for companies and individuals. A single compromising blog post can be incredibly damaging, and Google often magnifies the pain, and makes it difficult to shake. This session explores how to cultivate a great reputation by embracing the Internet's openness instead of fighting it.

reputation is the next big problem to solve on the web. this will be critical.

I agree w/Christina, but I wonder if she's not confusing 'a companies reputation, and ways to succesfully manage/defend/improve it online' with (to me, the vastly more interesting) Reputation Systems for appraising and communicating -user's- worth to others in the community. Both topics are interesting, but--for me personally--I'd be more drawn to the latter than the former.

Thor and company are way in the thick of this topic. He and Lane gave a great presentation at WebVisions last year. I'll be anxious to hear his thoughts about Reputation and how to get folks comfortable with putting themselves out there.
