Description:
Is OpenID "the way" to authenticate the average user on the Internet, or is there a better method (maybe, "don't fix it")? In this panel, we look critically at OpenID and the problem of authenticating users on the Internet.
Evan Prodromou

Golly, Jason, if we don't use OpenID, what would we use? Maybe... BBAuth?!?! Some disclosure on biases might make this panel more attractive.
Jake McKee

Hmm. Criticism can only make us stronger. Sweet!

This discussion needs to happen.

Hi Evan. If BBauth (and Google's use of SAML) and other proprietary authentication approaches are worthy of bringing into the discussion, then they will be brought into the discussion. This is a technical panel, not a marketing panel.
