I have been following Jugular for a while and have been always impressed by Scott and the way they use the tools available to them. I am voting for this panel and will be in hopefully sitting in the front row!

Just wanted to add more specificity to some of the content of the presentation. Examples will include several musical groups we're working with (who may be added as guest commentators if they play SXSW) and the creation of a multimedia Twitter page about New York City. More to follow as they're further developed.

I know the guys from Jugular well through past interactions with them while organizing ROFLCon. These guys are innovative and creative in an incredibly competitive industry, and well adapted themselves the the new technological environment that Social Media has created.

I am full throttle for this.

Scott's been a world class strategic planner for years. I know, I worked with him a decade ago and got to experience it first hand. I can't wait to hear what he has to say now. Definitely worth the price of admission.

Scott knows advertising. He consistently redefines the creative space, and does it in a way that gets a lot attention for whoever was smart enough to hire him.

I've known Scott for a long time. His creative talents and energy keep Jugular out front. He is always raising the bar, and putting it in completely new places.

I've learned a lot about social media from Scott and the entire Jugular team over the past year. I may be a college student growing up in the age of Twitter and Facebook but Scott has still managed to show me how to best leverage these technologies in new and creative ways... hopefully others can get a chance to see some of these innovative techniques as well.

There are few people in the social media world who are as excited and enthused about the future of Twitter as Scott Lackey. Ohhhh sure, there are the people who remind us listen to them or blast out ludicrous amounts of email blasts and daily Tweets telling us about how cool they are because someone paid them to endorse a product (that has NOTHING to do with them).

But the fact is, NO ONE comes from the marketing/advertising/strategic side of Twitter like Scott does.

Scott has worked with the biggest Fortune 500 brands in the world and truly understands how Twitter will affect business today...if it's used properly.

Scott is always brilliant and engaging, thoughtful and well-prepared -- just like he was 25 years ago when I first worked with him. A strong vote for this panel.

We're not going to make much progress until we get past Tweeting about tools "OMG I heart this hammer, it's so KEWL!" and start figuring out how to build really inspiring stuff.

Lots of people have enthusiasm for our new tools. Few have the experience and perspective to teach us how they can be used. Scott has both, and he's a great presenter as well.

i think this would be good for SXSW. i make social media everyday, and Scott gets it. I'm always out running around making Gardenfork.tv vids, and Scott sits there and comes up with some brilliant way to make it all work.

so that's a yes vote, if you didn't get that already.

I've known Scott for several years and if there is anybody in this business who is always on the cusp of the leading edge, it's him. The way Scott and Jugular incorporate and integrate media is impressive, creative, and inspirational. Tweeter is yet another example of an application ripe for Jugular's creative talents and ideas.

Scott has been my go-to person for social media insight for my New Media Minute, for This Week in Media and stories for TVWeek and Beet.TV!

Scott makes stuff better. He can't help himself--it's a natural talent. I'm a creative director/copy and whenever I've worked with people like Scott, fun and intelligence flourish. He's got a child-like wonder--a genuine perpetual and boundless curiosity about new ways of communicating. This is Jugular's pulse.

This is a very interesting idea. I will come right out and say I'm new to this, and wish I could say I know Scott and Jugular as per the other comments here. I found Jugular on Twitter and was/am impressed with the edginess and strategic creativity. I "grew up" with this type of intelligent, qualitative approach at the leading creative agency in Europe and it's been a long time since I've felt so at home.

Scott and I have know each other professionally for almost thirty years. Scott is a very smart, very creative marketer who brings thirty years of marketing experience and talent to this social media discussion. During my agency career I worked at the hottest creative shops (WRG, Ammirati & Puris, Scali, Lowe & Partners, McKinney) and I can say without equivocation that Scott is one of the most talented and brave thinkers that I have come across.
on 22/8/09
I trust Scott's insights, irrevocably. With him at the wheel, this sounds like a panel that can take business to a new level. Dev has always been about strategy, testing, tweaking... Not only would it be invaluable to hear from him how to employ Twitter more effectively - I guarantee a dozen other idea bulbs will go off. He's a human generator. Save me a seat.

Scott is probably the most well-informed, studied and inventive thinkers in the Social Media space today. He "gets it" big-time and knows how to express his thoughts in a straightforward, insightful way. No 'blaa blaa' with him. Even if you think you know it all...a few minutes with Scott will make you say to yourself, "Why didn't I think of that!" Way cool for SXSW to recruit Scott as a panelist.

Scott is passionate about advances in communication and is always exploring new ways to reach not only a wider, but a smarter, more targeted audience for his clients. I've found the depth of his experience combined with his enthusiasm for new technologies to be very effective in new business development.

Personally I find this a very self serving self promoting article
Scott Lackey pontificates and states the obvious, presents work from top agencies but by
putting it on his commentary site, makes it seem his agency has created it. The people who
compliment here are all friends and colleagues. Really, kind of a phony.
