This is a great idea for a panel. Big thumbs up.

An additional panelist to provide a non-agency, non-corporate perspective is Jeremiah Owyang of Forrester Research - http://www.web-strategist.com/blog/. He will add his extensive knowledge and research on social media, careers and team success and failure case studies to the discussion.

Creating a successful team is critical to a successful social media effort. I have found a combination of internal and external team members with diverse skills works very well to leverage brand/product/service expertise with social media/web/technologies expertise into a cohesive effort.

I sincerely hope this panel gets selected because I believe this is a critical topic.

I found the perfect final piece to add to our panel: Paull Young (@paullyoung) of Converseon (http://converseon.com). He led the Converseon team that developed the strategy and supported the execution for our Graco Baby social media efforts (blog, Facebook, YouTube, Flickr and other social media avenues). His perspective on integrating internal and external teams to deliver a successful program will add value to the discussion.

I am thrilled to have such a great panel to engage with on this topic.

Great idea, Bert. Raising the org's social technology IQ is one of the primary issues that my clients in Forrester's Interactive Marketing Council are grappling with. It's a hot topic. Good luck.

Paull Young has created a note on Facebook that expresses his desire for you (the panel reader/reviewer) to vote for our panel. And yes it involves beer. Please review his vote request if you have any question about our sincerity to want to create value and deliver a great panel discussion.
