Especially due to the alleged rape of a couchsurfing user, I'm interested in hearing about this from the perspective of social engineering.

Unfortunately SXSW doesn't allow you to list all of the panelists. My incredibly great partners in crime include:

John Adams (@netik), Twitter operations and security incident response team

Damon Cortesi, security consultant at Sevicron, founder of TweetStats, Twitter app developer

Mike Murray, CISO of Foreground Security

Thanks for thinking of us for SXSW!

This is a very good and important topic. A question that just popped up in my head that might be interesting to discuss is:

With several parties offering services like OpenID and Facebook Connect, users enjoy increased convenience in signing into various services. However, the value of their credentials (with that single party) rises as well and a compromised account brings potentially major problems.

Where do you draw the line between convenience and risk?

I read Jennifer's work on ZDNet and I know she is well versed on the subject of security from discussions and her writing. I think this is an excellent subject for a panel and is at the intermediate level, which I think we need to see more of this year.

Hay, this looks good. I had #6 #9 #TBD find me. #9 I am weak on but I understand topics on SecurityNow Show. #6 is a mystery to me because I do not Admin corporate web or special isolated-from-web systems. Read plenty because I get questions. Questions that trigger "spidey Sense"; HR, HIPPA, employee records, federal compliance data:H1b, labor, irs . I get Qs from exec, GM and other top of the food chain folks who are wanting for unbiased fact. I refer them toward a "wait some" talk to your lawyer, update employee manual per that authority. I don't build stuff -- a became Uncle. People managers ask and I want to give a better answer. #TBD is not secret, not public either.
"when I became Uncle is known; nobody will tell me". Company system admin/IT
should see this. Busy Guy too. Good Luck -d

Great panel idea! It's always helpful when consumers are more informed about what people are up to with their information and how to protect against it. Go Jennifer!
