I would consider eliminating or greatly reducing the points concerning fresh local food if your other presentation is also selected. Instead focus on the zero waste lifestyle such as composting, recycling (to include non-traditional roles like repurposing or doing artwork). I have not started composting yet but have greatly reduced my trash collection to the point that I only have a medium garbage pickup about every 10 days with recyclables every 2 weeks. That will drop radically once I start composting. But how to live a zero waste lifestyle at home, at work and in special events like conferences is not well understood. This would be a great presentation to get discussions started.

Kelcy - thx for the comment. I had christine update this proposal to be more innovation and tech aligned. Its much more focused now for the audience with tighter points. Should be a great talk!

Seriously, since knowing Steve, I have reduced the waste output I create at home and in the office. And I know its rubbing off. I actually remembered to bring in my plastic coffee tumbler to work today because of Steve. He is a practitioner and that is someone I want to hear from.

Looks good guys. Will definitely check this out. We're working on putting together an evening event in addition to a panel to get green-minded folks together at sxsw. Get in touch if you're interested in collaborating!
