Are you kidding? Babette is the founder of BAKESPACE! She is big time and grass roots simultaneously. BAKESPACE has brought communities and friends together over cooking in a sophisticated and yet easy to use website. I have attended SXSW (film and music). I would love to know her motivation for this site to help me with my work.

Babette has done some really unique and tailored for the Bakespace community ad campaigns that engage both users and brands. Definitely an approach that can be extended to other verticals.

Yipee for Bakespace! I LOVE this site! Just won a cookbook during the Julie Julia campaign..

Thanks guys! I think Marc hit the nail on the head about the reason I'm doing this presentation - what I've been able to do with BakeSpace can transcend into other verticals. It would be great to share with other publishers how to gain traction and use brand partner's PR push to help push your community.

Nike air yeezy... oops! I think your comment was added to the wrong page. This is a solo presentation not a panel and your definition of the panel is incorrect. I'm assuming this is an accident and not intentional to confuse anyone voting... right? :) Have a good weekend!

I think a lot of people at SXSW could benefit from this panel -- who doesn't want an easy-to-follow recipe for tapping into Hollywood's PR machine?

Food and hollywood? Not two things I'd associate but Babette is a smart cookie (har!) and will definitely provide solid takeaways for any company looking to better utilize relevant co-branding opportunities to promote their business. And I love that she's a bad ass female exec. Not enough of those to ga around -- Go Babette!

I have been amazed at how far Babette has taken this site. It just keeps getting better and better. I love the tie-ins with movies and tv shows. Babette is always looking for ways to improve the site, that is what keeps me around, that and all the friendly people and great recipes. Babette, is very hands on and I think that is amazing for a site of this size.

There are so very many stories of good ideas and intentions falling flat in Social Media because of this economy. Babbette and Bakespace have stayed viable and successful thanks in no small part to her ability to stay focused on the right promotional tie-ins. Much of that started with her ability to build a relationship with the studios. While sites are dropping off the grid every day due to lack of sponsorship, Babbette is rocking on with incredible strategy and follow through. Everyone big and small who wants to stay viable in the coming years should listen to what she has to say.
