Len has the personality, experience, knowledge, and proven ability to integrate disciplines that will make this discussion both insightful, enlightening, thought provoking, and entertaining! I'd make a point of listening.

And I meant to add, I think "untility companies" is funny...

Len's knowledge and experience continue to impress me. A former computer geek myself, Len makes me look computer illiterate. His input will help make the end product user-friendly, effective, entertaining, and something fans will want to visit over and over. His understanding of technology, marketing, knowing your audience, and business sense make him the most qualified person I know to participate in this panel. His love of live music and support for Austin's music scene make him one of the most deserving.

This session will be a blast. Len is a systems engineer's system engineer. I worked with Len when the first eCommerce consortia RosettaNet was getting launched. He understands ecosystems, their political, social and technical interactions. The SmartGrid is really a meta ecosystem of smaller state and local ecosystems. Len has a background in controls theory and systems dynamics and is a futureologist at heart. He definitely sees the architectural agility aspects of the evolving Semantic Web and the Sensor Web. If you want to see the future check out this session.

I have worked with Len for many years. While he started out as a Engineer with Motorola he worked in many more capacities throughout his tenure with them. His last job he held was still at Motorola as their "Internetologist" A title that Bob Galvin himself blessed. He is one of the brightest, most strategic person one could have the privelege of meeting and working with. He is an out of the box thinker who gets technology. He is a great listener, great at understanding the needs of the market and can put solid plans to execute against it. I would hire him anytime!
