Description	Science communities are fragmented. Additionally, there are a multitude of non-science-related communities that hold a potential active interest. By connecting communities, we can harness collaboration to further science and participatory exploration. How can we build an online collaborative community for the public and scientists without suggesting to replace existing communities?
Questions Answered	What are some of the existing open collaborative science-related communities and how do they work? What skepticisms are there about open collaboration and how can you tackle them? Are there any obstacles that can't be bypassed, and how do you address them? How can we tap into non-science-related communities that might have an active interest in science? Is it possible to maintain quality and openness when facilitating a community of both scientists and people interested in science? How do you deal with poisonous people in your community? How much does technology play a role in facilitating collaboration? What do we mean by "open collaboration"? How do you get scientists involved? How can we build an online collaborative community for both scientists and the public that supplements existing communities instead of threatening to replace them?
