Title:

How WebHooks Will Make Us All Programmers

Description:
Programming will increasingly be the most empowering skill on earth... how do we bring it to more people? We can't rely on better academic programs if nobody is taking them! We have to bring back easy discovery and instant utility. See how webhooks (user-defined HTTP callbacks) are the missing link!

Jeff get's the direction Mashups need to go.

Give me an interface for RESTful API's resembling a modular synthesizer patchcord system in combination with the programming logic of the cutting edge HP12c calculator :D

In the excellent book "Mashup corporations" the author talks about employees being on the IT edge (shadow IT), using external web based tools in order to better do their jobs, connect with customers and create real value (and the boss remains clueless).

I hope Webhooks and beyond will enable "edge IT" as a legitimate part of ITC within organizations.

Thanks for the positive feedback! Be sure to spread the word. I don't know if I'm popular enough to actually make it without help. :P
