Breaking the All-Male Tech Conference Club

Event Interactive 2010
Format Panel
Organizer Tracy Viselli Reno Fabulous Media
Description So far, 2009 has not been a good year for diversity at tech conferences. Women are showing up in ways we don't like; think Matt Aimonetti’s “CouchDB + Ruby: Perform Like a Pr0n Star" at the San Francisco Ruby on Rails conference and and Hoss Gifford's alarming presentation at Flashbelt. Where enough women aren't showing up is on the conference speaker lineups. This panel will discuss why more women should be included on panels and as presenters and how they can be found.
