Social Business By Design

The hype around social media has become deafening. Organizations are feeling pressured to "join the conversation” or risk being irrelevant. However, a “social business” has to be designed from the ground up and the top down in order to achieve transformation which scales. Are we ready to move beyond lip service?

If anyone knows the importance of a holistic social media approach, it's David.

And he'll be moving to Austin too, apparently! At least, that's the word in Chicago.

As someone who has been intensely interested in social business design since Peter and Jeff first thought it up and mentioned it aloud I've genuinely felt like it was the FUTURE of business. I think it'd be a truly valuable panel. It's not always an easy concept for most people to digest, and a panel would be a great opportunity for the Dachis Corp team to really shed some light/clarify/answer questions pertaining to their efforts!

This is a great idea. There's so much hype over the buzzwords of social media and the basic concepts, but I think you're right in saying there's more to it in regards to design and concept from the ground up. I hope this makes it because I'll be attending!

Like the idea of this. But what does that framework of "moving beyond" mean? Certainly, it's different for places of various shapes and sizes. That's something I'd hope would be covered -- the thought that a one-size-fits-all prescription is perilous. Still, yeah, a good topic to be covered and my hopes are high for this session.

This could be extremely enlightening and inspiring (only social media initiative for many today seems to be begging customers to be their Facebook Fan) Once companies see the potential, and feel confident exploring...wow.
