People won't want to miss this one. Chris has over seven years' experience in examining the intersection of how we communicate on a technological level and what we're communicating on an emotional level, and what that's meant for the oft-ignored field of suicide prevention. He brings a metric ton of enthusiasm to every subject he approaches, and that alone will make for a great anchor to a thought-provoking panel. We're all in contact with each other more than at any other point in history; does that mean we're emotionally healthier? You'll get a better sense of that once you hear what this presentation has to say.

Chris is a knowledgeable, reliable source in the field of online suicide prevention. He worked with the federally-funded National Suicide Prevention Lifeline team for three years, pioneering innovative approaches to our online work. Chris is among the few acknowledged American leaders in this area, and he has a lot of tremendous information to impart in this vital, potentially lifesaving workshop. As the Director of the Lifeline, it has been my privilege to work with him and I continue to support his outstanding contributions to our national effort to maximize the use of online technologies to prevent suicides. You gotta see this one!

A topic I think very few people are knowledgeable about, but most are affected by. This should certainly be picked up - especially during a time when so many are feeling the pressure of life more than ever.

Suicide prevention via social networks is a fascinating topic that needs to be exposed to the brains at the SXSW conference. A no-brainer.
