Description:
Microsoft has a bad rap. Many continue to perceive Microsoft as antithetical to the gestalt of Web 2.0. But Microsoft is a multi-faceted company -- as Web 2.0 as any other company, if not more so. Not a product pitch, this presentation will explore the many sides of Microsoft and look at how to make Microsoft work for you.

Funny, this sounds just like a product pitch.

Knowing Karsten this will be an entertaining and good view into Microsoft as a company and the value they are adding to the interactive space. If there is one person I trust at Microsoft to not do a product pitch it's Karsten. Now I wouldn't be going to SxSW just for this so 5 stars it can't be, but I'll definately be there.

I am hoping the correct title is "Redmond is More Web 2.0 That You Think". Saying that Microsoft is more web 2.0 than you is just silly.

I am now curious to see how Microsoft defines "web 2.0".

"how to make Microsoft work for you"

no seriously, that sounds EXACTLY like a product pitch, sorry Karsten

Good luck on getting this into the final round. Insulting your audience while simultaneously trying to sell them on your products is pretty arrogant.

seriously: this won't be a product pitch. I promise. I'll talk about how Microsoft "can work for you" without using its products. Magic? No. More a talk about platform as well as general theorization about corporations and their role in the web. Also, a chance to explicate some theories on web 2.0 in general.

Karsten, hope you get this one. Seriously, I'd be interested in discussing corporations and their role in the web as well as the 2.0 theories; seems there are a lot of them out there.
