To provide a little bit more context for this panel, the idea is to bring together folks from open source projects that are managed in different ways to compare and contrast their experiences. For example, some open source projects are managed from the "ground up" (via a large developer base), some are managed from the "top down" (by a single developer or small core group of developers), and others are closely associated with a single commercial or non-profit entity.

I've discussed this panel with leaders from several open source Web projects already; candidates that I'm considering include Drupal, Joomla!, Wordpress, and Alfresco, though other suggestions are welcome as well!

The CMS Showdown panel that George ran last yearat SXSW was very interesting and timely. So many people are looking into what open source CMS to use or even what project is the best fit for them to offer contributions. I'm looking forward to this session. Thumbs up.
